UK Games Expo 2023 was the biggest yet, with figures released by the organisers at 31, 000 unique visitors and an attendance of over 52, 000 across the weekend, reaffirming it as one of the biggest events in the board games calendar, alongside Essen Spiel and Gen Con.
Partnering with Games Quest, we had a huge presence at UKGE this year with over 8,000 square feet of floor space and a team of 60 staff dedicated to showing off dozens of games from our partners from around the world, including Ludus Magnus Studio, The Game Kitchen, Earthborne Games and more. Over the course of the weekend we gave around 3,500 demonstrations, helping establish our partner’s products and brands in the UK market.
We also helped the Stone Blade Entertainment team run their SolForge: Fusion Ultimate Championship which saw players battle it out to influence the narrative of the game, with Cameron Montgomery securing the title of Ultimate Champion in a tense final round.
The response to our booth from publishers, designers and other industry professionals was amazing, with our team talking with dozens of people about our services in crowdfunding, international sales & localization, manufacturing and more throughout the weekend. The Saturday night of the show was particularly great; we ran our first ever UKGE booth party after the live hours of the show, with all of our demonstrators, partners and other industry professionals present. This gave us a chance to catch up with people we hadn’t spoken with in years and network with our industry peers. We’re especially looking forward to doing this again at UK Games Expo 2024!
As ever, it was a pleasure to catch up with friends from all corners of the industry and gather the All About Games team in one place for the best part of a week! With our team split between Greece and the UK, this was a rare opportunity for us all to get together and we even got to play a couple of games in the Hilton Bar after the show closed. Highlights included several games of Skull and KUGO!

We can’t wait for UK Games Expo 2024, where we plan on having an even bigger, even better presence. See you there!
